Back of your HT equipment closet/shelving/rack

I'm preparing to build an HT wall and want to open that wall (to the next room) behind the electronics for easy access. I'm searching for ideas regarding that access. Should it be a hinged or sliding door/panel or something else? What have you done to get to your wiring? I don't want to build a closet. I am also concerned about the appearance of the opening behind the equipment as viewed from the front. Thoughts and photos appreciated.

I not quit sure what you mean...are you talking about building a wall for the screen side or the back equipment?

Let's say I create a wall similar to this. I want to be able to access the equipment from behind, i.e., cut through the sheetrock in the room behind. See what i mean?

Hmm.....that might be a little tough if your whole wall has shelves or storage. I'll have to think about that one. If you had a small, say 2' section just enough room to get in, you could remove the three or four shelves and use the door as the back of the shelf and hide the hinges...make sense?...

That's precisely what I meant. A door of some kind. I was hoping somebody could take pictures of the access and wiring management behind their components. I'm looking for ideas.
