Are these 12" sub drivers worth buying?

Would make a nice project if they were good drivers....anyone know? For $25....

Not a huge $$ risk at least. They look well built - perhaps test drivers for the HR's, or maybe the new subs they were supposedly working on. If you can get decent measurements on them for design purposes then it may worthwhile.

You can also get scratch & dent MFW-15 drivers from Danny Richie for $59 right now if you want a little DIY project.

I'm thinking of getting a pair my self. I sent him a msg asking him what the resistance is on them. If they are 8 ohm I have a great amp. Would make a good HT sub set project.

Just wonder what to do about a crossover? Would the sub output on a Emotiva UMC-1 have crossover control? Guess I'll have to call them in the AM!

The Ebay seller just got back to me and said they are 3.66 ohms.

I know this is an old thread but I just caught it.....

I would not touch those drivers....... There are reasons av123 never used them.
